What I wouldn’t give for it to be the summer of 2010. The last summer of my childhood, the last free summer. School let out and all I had to worry about was trying to not be bored. Bored… imagine that!
If I could go back and tell 15 year old me one thing it would be to cherish everyday of that summer. That will forever be (or at least until I retire) my last summer before I spend all my summers working. Being a kid was so much easier… and yet as a kid all I wanted to do was grow up. What’s the problem with our generation? We’re in such a hurry to grow up that we don’t get to fully appreciate childhood… and even though being an « adult » has its ups… being a kid was a hell of a lot easier.
So… bref… If you’re reading this and you’re still a kid, don’t rush yourself to grow up, enjoy every boring moment of this summer (especially if it’s your ‘last’) and just be a kid. What’s the rush for anyways? Trust me… paying bills isn’t all that it’s cut out to be
